Part 1

event held at SSU (in the practice rooms)
- "Crunch time" practice
session in preparation for the tape due date
- 2 hour event held at SSU in the
practice rooms
- practice is supervised by North Bay
Trumpet Studio Apprentice (Teacher Training) Students
- supervised practice includes
individual work supervised by rotating assistants
- each student receives 15 minutes of
supervised practice with the Mentor
- short group meeting at the beginning
and end of the event
- free drawing at the end of the
session-1st place-free admission to the next 2 events;
2nd place-free admission to the next event; 3rd place
half off the next event
Part 3
- Cost $5
- 1 hour group session held at SSU
- primary subject the recording

event-1st place-free 1 hour Mentor assisted recording
session and CD preparation and labeling; 2nd place-free

- Designed for those who have passed the
recorded audition, been accepted, and are preparing for
the live seating placement audition
- 2 hour master class session (1 student
works with the Mentor at a time with attending students
observing) held at SSU
- emphasis on live "mock"
audition
- primary instructions focus on stage
presence and personal presentation
- strategies for coping with performance
anxiety provided
- written suggestions provided for study
- students perform scales, solo
excerpts, and sight reading
Additonal Information:
- Any and all trumpet students may
attend any or all sessions (except the last-which is for
Honor Band Members only)
- All sessions to be held on Saturday
afternoons on SSU campus in Ives Hall
- $5 off tuition total for level 1-3
events if paid in advance
