Instrument Maintenance Suggestions

Daily mouthpiece cleaning using the mouthpiece brush.
Weekly leadpipe cleaning with the cleaning snake.
Bi-weekly valve cleaning, wiping and re-oiling the valves. (read these instructions)
Bi weekly slide cleaning, wipe, and re-oil.
Monthly (complete) instrument disassembly and cleaning using lemon dish detergent, cleaning snake, and valve brush.

Monthly maintenance checks will be performed at the beginning of the first lesson of the month.
Poorly maintained instruments hinder progress and are unacceptable.
