Custom Pitch-finder*:
(designed and machined by Gary Meierhenry at the request of Pete Estabrook)

allows the player to adjust the pitch using the main tuning slide (with the index finger of the left hand near the 3rd valve slide ring)
allows the player to adjust the pitch with the hands instead of the embouchure
allows the player greater pitch accuracy and precision
allows greater player ease
allows the timbre of the horn more even in all registers
allows correction of mathematical imperfections (resulting in poor intonation) on modern trumpets (particularly C and D trumpets)

The custom pitch-finder is currently designed to fit primarily Bach trumpets.
It does not attach to the horn (it attaches to itself), therefore it does not damage or deface the horn.
It can be removed and used on another (Bach) horn (this may require some adjustments to the 2nd horn).
The "throw" (distance the slide can be moved when the pitch-finder is used) is adjustable.
The "return" (distance the slide returns after the pitch-finder is used) is adjustable.
The current model can be modified to fit other model horns if necessary.
This device must be custom fit to your instrument in the shop (this includes tuning slide lapping and may require brace or slide adjustments).
The cost for the device is $425
The cost for installation is $50 (this may vary slightly depending on adjustments required for a particular instrument)
