Practice
Routine:
- Homework assignments are issued based on
student level and musical goals.
- If fundamentals are in place, and if theory
knowledge is sufficient, the program may include jazz material (based
on instructor assessment of student ability).
- 30-60 min. daily is a minimum guide for daily
practice for students enrolled in private lessons (specifics are listed
here).
A generic practice grid (without jazz
included) is shown here (specific student
assignments vary from week to week).
Lessons:
- Performance of prepared weekly musical
assignments as outlined verbally or in written form by the instructor
- Discussion and evaluation of student
performance
- Demonstrations by the instructor
- New assignments are given based on student
goals and demonstrated ability
